About the event
What is the future for arable farming on the edges of the Quantock Hills? How do regenerative farming practices apply to an arable business?
By kind permission of the Thorne family, we will spend the morning touring the farm and discussing regenerative arable techniques to enhance biodiversity and feed a growing population.
The tour will be approximately 3 hours and our Landscapes team will be on hand to talk about how we are supporting farmers to make positive changes with the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme, as well as other government schemes. No previous knowledge required.
Refreshments will be provided. This event will be held outdoors with approximately 2 miles of walking, so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day.
We will meet and park at Lilstock Farm, Lilstock, Stringston, Somerset, TA5 1SU at 9.45am.
